Punt For The Moon

AT&T Stadium located in Arlington, Texas is the home of the stupid Dallas Cowboys.  That’s where they play the majority of their football games each year. The stadium is a huge monstrosity of a building. It can hold 80,000 fans. It was built in 2009. It cost about $1.15 billion dollars to make.

My favorite featured of the stadium is the giant HDTV video display screen that hangs over the field. It is sixty yards long. It cost a cool 40 million dollars, which is apparently more than what it cost to build Texas Stadium (former home of the stupid Dallas Cowboys).

If I was a punter in the NFL, and I found myself playing in a game at AT&T Stadium, there is no way I couldn’t resist trying to hit the giant video screen every time I punted. Even if hitting the screen was bad for my team, I would still try to do it. If my teammates called me out on it, I would just try to shrug it off like, “Hey, what do you expect? I’m just the dumb punter for a reason. Doyeeee!”

Every once in a while a real NFL punter actually hits the screen while punting in an actual game. It’s a fantastic football moment! It feels my heart with joy.

And guess what? It happened today during the stupid Cowboys wild card playoff matchup versus the dumb Forty-Niners. The stupid Cowboy’s punter Bryan Anger punted the ball of the screen. I loved it!

Bryan Anger, despite being a stupid Cowboy, is now my one of my favorite active punters in the league. I think he just made the top three! To think, I had no idea who he was a few hours ago. Football is fun!

I don’t normally condone punting. I hate punting. If I were coach, I would never punt. I also would never kick field goals or extra points, I would always go for two. With that being said, here are my favorite punters.

Jon Ryan

Michael Dickson

Jeff Feagles – He was a Seahawks punter in the late 90s known for his excellence in the coffin corner kick. There are surprisingly very few Jeff Feagles highlights on YouTube. However, this video of him “practicing” while on the New York Giants is pretty great.

Rember kids, punting is for suckers and losers!
