I can say with all certainty that Kurt Vonnegut’s Breakfast of Champions is by far the first book I’ve read in 2014. You want visual proof? I give you Exhibit A – a photo of me reading the book taken just moments ago. Ah ha! Put that in your mustache and smoke it.
This book is fantastic. I highly recommend you read it. And then I recommend you mosey on down to West of Lenin in Fremont on Saturday January 11th where The Bushwick Book Club Seattle will bring you original music inspired by it. And by “it” I mean “Kurt Vonnegut’s Breakfast of Champions” and by “The Bushwick Book Club Seattle” I mean “The Bushwick Book Club Seattle including myself” and by “you” I mean “you and 5 of your closest friends”. Is that too confusing? Sorry. Let me break it down for you another way.
Please join me for:
Saturday January 11th | 8pm | at West of Lenin

I haven’t written my song yet, but I have finished the book so I’m half way there. Hooray for me! If you haven’t read the book yet you stop whatever meaningless task your are currently engaged in, head on down to Elliot Bay Book Company, get yourself a copy and start reading the crap out of it. Then come on down to the Bushwick show on January 11th. You will love it. I promise.
See you there!
