Simon Kornelis is one bad ass guitar player. And according to the bio on his rarely updated website he “enjoys guitars, beer and a good grill.” I also like those things.

Here he is playing an amazing rendition of Pure Imagination — also known as the best song from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. He makes it look so easy.

Now for comparison purposes,  here’s the version from the movie. Which one do you like better?

Simon also recorded a live version of Pure Imagination a few years ago at the Columbia City Theatre. It is available for free download over on his ol’ Bandcamp page. He’s got a bunch of other music on there too.
