Earlier tonight, during my weekly ritual of going over to the M. Bison Bandcamp page to see if their new album is up yet (and then being disappointed when I discover that it is indeed not up yet), I became a little nostalgic. I then proceeded down a massive Google sized rabbit hole in search of anything M. Bison music related.
Which is when I discovered this gem. Turns out way back in 2008 M. Bison did a live in studio performance on KEXP. Even better yet, that performance is available to listen to via the magic of streaming audio. I’ve never heard this before tonight. How could this be?!! The interwebz has me slightly questioning my M. Bison super fan status 🙁 Perhaps this blog post will earn me some of my cred back 😉
Take a trip back to 2008 and go listen to this right now. You will like it.
I spent the rest of the night figuring out a way to download the audio stream in hopes I could take these recordings with me wherever I go. Depending on who is reading this, I may or may not have succeeded. (Please don’t sue me, I don’t have any money.)
In case you are wondering, the picture at the top of this article is not from that KEXP 2008 session. It’s a relatively recent shot of M. Bison in the studio recording the new album I so desperately crave. I hope it gets released soon.
The M. Bison Google search also took me to their super hip and totally relevant MySpace page. Look who is in one of their coveted top 8 spaces!
