Good news, everyone!
This Thursday at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center you can catch me and a bunch of other talented Seattle artists performing with The Bushwick Book Club Seattle — original music inspired by Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead. No, not the popular TV series, I’m talking about the comic book series that the TV shows is based off of. Come on, this is a book club people!
Thursday, October 30th | doors 7pm | show 8pm
The Bushwick Book Club Seattle Presents:
original music inspired by
Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead
At The Fremont Abbey Arts Center
I love Bushwick and can’t wait for this show. I hope to see you there. Say hello. Buy me beer.
For those unfamiliar with how The Bushwick Book Club Seattle works, it is pretty simple.
- each artist reads the same book
- each artist writes a song inspired by the book
- each artist perform their song in front of crowd of *screaming book and music fans who have also read the book
*there is usually very little screaming
I haven’t read the whole series, but I have gotten through the first four volumes. I like what I’ve read, but doubt I will read the rest after the Bushwick Show has come and gone. There’s just too many other literature goodies that I want to wrap my brain around right now.
Here’s the poster for the show. Design by Travis Young.
